This company, a market leader in their field, are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team due to an increase in business. Initially a temporary role, this is likely to lead to a permanent position.
You will be assisting the Financial Controller in achieving a smooth running Finance Department within the business. Working to current operational systems and processes, ideas to further develop these in order to improve efficiency will be welcomed!
You will be working closely with the operations and sales teams to offer knowledge and assistance to improve the way the company operates and maximise their customer service.
This role is envisaged to develop over time to become a key element of the team and would look to enter into a work training program that would assist all parties to maximise their endeavours.
The below duties are not an exhaustive list, and the role will evolve over time, but to begin with you will be responsible for:
Processing accounts on Sage 50 to trial balance
Processing weekly wages on Sage payroll for all entities and producing the journals ready for posting and reconciliation
Third party payment preparation for outside agencies including HMRC
Raising monthly invoices for main company
Credit Control and Sales Ledger administration and reporting processes
Proactively monitoring costs to ensure they are correctly apportioned to jobs
Purchase ledger processing & statement reconciliation
Purchase order accruals
Bank postings and monthly reconciliation
Petty cash control
Company credit card control and reconciliation
PDQ control posting and reconciliation
Fixed Asset Register
Liaising with Operations on Imports/Exports
Data preparation and Journal posting on both Sage 50
Month end processes and systems development
Ad hoc duties and reporting as requested
To be successful in your application, you will have experience of the above duties. Sage experience would be preferred but is not essential. This role is available on a temporary to permanent and permanent basis depending on your availability.
