Our client is looking for a Bookkeeper to work within their outsourcing finance department based at their Yeovil office.
You will be responsible for maintaining clients records on a variety of systems, preparing VAT returns and management accounts.
The role will be a mix of office based work and onsite at clients.
- Processing sales and purchase invoices (manually and using auto-entry software)
- Preparation of bank and credit card reconciliations
- Processing basic monthly journals
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Preparation of client management accounts
- Attending client meetings
- Good organisational skills and IT skills
- Double entry bookkeeper knowledge
- Competent at using bookkeeping software such as Xero/Sage
- Have a basic understanding of accounts/a balance sheet
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in different environments and dealing directly with clients
