Two CNC Milling Setter / Operators needed (day shifts, early finish Friday)
Reason for new vacancies: company expansion due to growing order book
I'm offering a rare opportunity to work with a hidden gem of a precision engineering firm based in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside, commutable from Tewkesbury, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Malvern, Worcester and surrounding areas.
Working exclusively with me to support their recruitment plans, my client is taking delivery of a number of brand new milling machines and I'm looking to find just the right people to join the business at a very exciting time when more investment is planned within the year to cope with a very healthy order book (government contracts).
The job - CNC Milling Machine Setter / Operator
Do you have experience of setting and operating CNC mills?
Then I'm interested in hearing from you.
Most of the work you'll be carrying out is machining aluminium but if you have experience of working with other metals, I would welcome your interest too.
Experience of programming from scratch isn't needed, but I am looking for people who would be confident in making minor offset adjustments.
The work you will be doing ranges from small to medium batch sizes and you will need to be confident with working to engineering drawings to produce components in predominantly aluminium. You will need to be familiar with using standard measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and depth gauges with minimal supervision too.
The machines you'll be using are 3 or 5 axis vertical machining centres. If you have experience of working with any CNC milling machinery using Fanuc, Mazatrol, Heidenhain, Fadal, Siemens or similar controls, you may well be just the person we're looking for! If you've had experience of working with machinery operating with fewer than 5 axis, then I'd still be very keen to hear from you as training on new machines will be available.

Friday 08:00 - 1:00pm
