The Company and the Role:
Exxon Mobil is spending more than £500m on upgrading its UK largest oil refinery at Fawley, near Southampton. A contractor has been appointed to carry out the work which will involve adding new oil processing units and to extend the life of the oil refinery. The work will take 30 months to complete and work commences on 1st September.
The project will require a substantial number of workers who will need to be housed and fed.
Our Client is one of 2 integrated logistics and FM providers who are tendering for a secondary project to build the residential compound where the workers will live and be fed. In addition, there a number of other buildings to be erected to support the main project.
Our client will not find out if they are successful until Mid-April which leaves minimum time to recruit around 130 workers necessary for the construction of the residential compound and supplementary buildings.
For Supervisory and Technical positions, the start date for employment will be Tuesday 7th May.
Trades personnel will be required from 20th May
Most positions will come to an end on 31st August, although a small number may continue for the life of the main project.
