What is the Role
As part of our strategy to do what is right for our people, our shareholders and of course our customers, we have undertaken a strategic review of our business and established seven business areas that can each focus on being a sustainable and responsible employer, for the long term. As a result of this recent restructure, an exciting opportunity has been created for a Finance Managers to join the finance team under the Customer Energy Solutions Business.
You will coordinate monthly reporting, budgeting & forecasting activities for specific areas, prepare variance analysis, provide insight & identify key trends to support strategic business planning. The role is also key in maintaining robust financial controls and the compliance framework for Airtricity & includes assistance in improving business processes. The role includes management accounting and financial control duties and will have exposure to ensuring compliance with regulatory, tax & company law.
What do I need?
Effectively communicating financial performance to operational colleagues to embed financial understanding within the business and the ability to manage multiple complex projects/processes simultaneously.
Interpreting and assimilating multiple data sources, including external market data, and rendering into meaningful insight and appropriate recommendations and clear actions.
Operationally and commercially focused with strong analytical and financial modelling skills with the ability to develop, motivate and lead a diverse team.
Excellent knowledge of current regulations including new financial accounting standards & influence strategy and translate this into actionable programmes, opportunities or activities that result in improved profitability or risk mitigation
Fully qualified accountant with significant experience Post Qualified in a Finance Manager/Management Accountant business-interfacing role with experience of solving business issues of similar scale and complexity, developing, motivating and leading a diverse, and multi-locational team
Knowledge of Irish energy market and an understanding of underlying market segments & product profitability tools
Proficient in MS Office applications (particularly excel)
