The Forensic Engineer job itself where you will analyze the cause of accidents and presents suitable reports in the court of law. Forensic engineers are also employed by insurance companies to evaluate claims by examining the factors that causes accidents like building collapse and fires. We are looking for to fill a critical position with a Register Professional Engineer (Civil or Structural) with preferably with forensic experience. For the right candidate this could lead to a partnership and eventual ownership of the firm. The majority (70% to 75%) of this firm’s work is local and residential.

More specifically:

  • Examining the site of accident and collecting evidence samples for testing in the lab
  • Applying the principles of engineering and forensics in order to evaluate the cause of crime
  • Ascertaining whether the accident was intentionally caused
  • Presenting reports to the senior officials and the court of law
  • In times of claims, studying the claim  details and matching them against the forensic reports in order to ascertain the authenticity of the claim
  • Analyze results of the tests and suggest future course of action
  • Keeping abreast of the latest state of the art developments in the field of forensics in order to improve accuracy of work
  • Maintain financial records and suggest purchase of forensic equipment
  • Maintenance and repair of forensic equipments

You will have

To be successful as Forensic Engineer, you will have:

  • Bachelor degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Register Professional Engineer:  PE or SE
  • 8+ yera's experience
  • Certification courses in forensic engineering a plus
  • A thorough knowledge about the principles involved in forensic testing
  • Excellent analyses and decision making skills
  • Precision is work since wrong reports can lead to rejection of authentic claims
  • Good communication skills to present evidence
  • Good understanding of legal proceedings
