Our family owned and managed client based in Tewkesbury are looking for an Office and Accounts Administrator to join their team; this role has only become available due to the current incumbent retiring. The team may be small but they have an immense amount of trust in each other so it is essential that they find the right fit!
This role is very heavily accounts based but there will be some general office administration required, including data entry, and office cover will required for any periods of sickness or during busy periods. Full responsibility for the business accounts, up to authorisation, will be held in this post so we are looking for someone who lives & breathes accounts! Therefore it is imperative that all applications demonstrate full accounts experience including sales and purchase ledger and credit control. An up to date working knowledge of Sage is required as whilst full training can be given on business processes they cannot train on the accounts and system side.
Day to day responsibilities will include managing 50 - 80 invoices per day, inputting all invoices onto Sage, checking the invoices and ensuring they are correct, creation of purchase invoices and posting these daily, sending statements to customers, creating payments for suppliers and credit control.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate independent working, who are self motivated and who are comfortable to work directly with the Directors of the business.
This role offers attractive working hours of Monday to Thursday 9-4 with a shorter day on Friday 9-1, so a working week of 30 hours. Please note this business operates shut down periods during May, Summer & at Christmas so all holidays are fixed. This post is a temporary to permanent opportunity, with permanent employment being offered following 12 weeks of continuous and successful service. We are looking to interview immediately for this post as the company want to fill the role ASAP to allow for some time for training and a handover period.
