This company has recently won a contract to build a number of temporary buildings, including Offices, Canteens, Welfare facilities, Medical room, Warehouses and a Training facility, in support of a major construction and engineering project in the Waterside area of Southampton.

The Permit Coordinator job itself where you will be responsible for preparation and submission of permit requests during the construction, commissioning, and handover stages of the Project. As the Permit Co-ordinator utilise your skills to review submitted permit requests for completeness or accuracy and confirming all required supporting documentation is included from a mechanical, electrical, and health & safety perspective. The Permit Co-ordinator will perform an array of data entry duties, as well as be a hand on in-the-field link between the Permit Office and Contractor field personnel. Initiate any needed permits during work and follow Hazard elimination program (HELP).
You will have
To be successful as Permit Coordinator you will ideally be an accomplished Permit Co-ordinator with experience in Permit-to-Work systems for installations in hazardous areas. Experience in a petrochemical construction environment and knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures. Knowledge of Health and Safety regulatory requirements and construction industry best practices considered an asset. Ideally you will have a valid CCNSG passport or relevant document and be able to follow safety rules as assigned by the Company. Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and databases utilised for tracking purposes.

As Permit Coordinator you will receive ~£25K+ pro rata on a temporary worker basis. Overtime is a possibility. Minimum Holidays are expected to be taken from late July to November.
