The successful candidate will be based in our Bristol office however travel to our other main offices in Bristol, Derby, Fort Dunlop and Preston may be required. In addition international travel may be required periodically.
You will be a key part of our vibrant and pro-active Project Management team. You will be required to attend regular meetings with both internal and external stakeholders to understand and report on technical requirements on an array of aerospace engineering projects. You will be responsible for high profile Projects which encompass all aspects of the product Life-Cycle from Technology and Concept Development through to Product Manufacture and In-Service and Aftermarket support. You will take responsibility for ensuring that projects are delivered on time on budget and to the highest quality.
Take full management ownership of projects throughout the project lifecycle.
Delivery of a number of individual initiatives that form the overall project. Accuracy pace and quality are to be taken as the basics of your responsibility.
Financial management of projects including financial tracking and reporting contract change control and cash-flow assurance.
Effective risk management and application of appropriate mitigation strategies.
Effective communication between the project team and the customer.
Creating and managing proposals for new opportunities.
Responsibility for the efficient management and delivery of projects customer satisfaction and resource.
Reporting to the Operations Manager as appropriate by way of the project review meetings on the progress of project time-scales and budgets.
Liaison with project Technical Function community to ensure that adequate capability for the appropriate disciplines is assigned to the project.
Ensure adherence to the relevant Quality Assurance Policies in any work undertaken on the project. In particular you must be aware of the requirements of the Company's Business Processes and applicable Working Instructions.
Supporting business retention and development opportunities through liaison with current and prospective clients.
Mentoring and developing project management staff.
Helping drive project management process and capability development
A knowledge of Gas Turbines Industrial Turbomachinery or other Rotating Equipment would be of extreme advantage.
To be considered for this position candidates will have a flair for interpersonal relations demonstrated by the ease of working with a number of differing priorities. Planning ability is to be evident throughout.
Drive for ongoing success is paramount as the applicant will take full ownership of the project.
The successful candidate will have a detailed understanding of industry recognised Project Management working practices and possess an excellent working knowledge of common project management tools (e.g. MS Project).
Formal Project Management qualifications are essential (e.g. APM PRINCE2 etc.).
A degree level qualification would be an advantage.
Minimum of 5 years' experience with demonstrable experience of delivering complex engineering services projects.
