Service Controller, Avonmouth, £26,250, 25 days holiday (Temp, temp to perm or perm)

As the Service Controller you would be responsible for managing the day to day engineers diaries and customer bookings and ensuring that all breakdowns, service bookings, invoicing and further works including warranty claims are actioned.

So, as the Service Controller what will you be doing ?

  • Answering all incoming telephone calls
  • Allocating the appropriate engineer to fulfil customer requirements.
  • Minimise customers' down time by scheduling and managing the flow of service and repair work using an in house service planning system (NCX)
  • Ensuring purchase orders are given at the start of the job and updated as needed during the life of the job
  • Organise sub-contractors and ensure the recharge is invoiced in a timely manner.
  • Report daily VOR's to the Senior Service Controller and process service documentation
  • Ensure all repairs or advisories found on service are followed through and carried out and liaise with liaise with OEM/parts department to ensure accurate ETA of parts.
  • Obtain authorisation for further works from the customer whilst managing expectations and lead times
  • Invoice completed work on day of completion and at pre-agreed price for work done.
  • Ensure customers are updated and communicated with throughout the life of the job.
  • Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate recharge of warrantable parts and labour.
  • To build rapport, develop trust and respect from both internal and external customers.
  • To assist with the call out rota's and in doing so achieve KPI targets for 60/90 ETA, first time fix rate & reduced subcontract work
  • Ensure customers are updated and communicated with throughout the life of the job.

So, as the Service Controller what experience / qualifications are desirable?

  • Good communications skills
  • Experience in a similar planner / controller role
  • Working knowledge of Kerridge would be a real benefit, along with either warranty experience, site coordination experience, maintenance or facilities coordination, booking engineers, or working within an automotive, HGV or transportation environment.
  • Full driving licence due to location.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 7am - 4pm or 8am - 5pm, 25 days holiday and benefits
